Irish Seaweed Association
As part of our project, we focus on regenerative seaweed farming and community-driven business models. As a spin-off initiative of C-FAARER, we are actively involved in the creation of the Irish Seaweed Association. This initiative aims to support and promote the growth of Ireland’s seaweed farming industry by replicating the successful model of the Norwegian Seaweed Association, a key partner in our project. The Irish Seaweed Association will serve as a central body to unify stakeholders, advocate for industry interests, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practices. Emphasizing regenerative practices is crucial for ensuring the long-term sustainability and health of the Irish marine ecosystem.
